A tank truck is a vehicle designed specifically for transporting liquid petroleum products. It consists of a chassis, tank, fuel inlets and outlets, pumps, flowmeters, valves, and piping.
1. Chassis
The chassis is the main component of the tank truck, supporting the entire vehicle and tank, transmitting engine power, and equipped with steering, braking, and suspension systems.
2. Tank
The tank is the core component of the tank truck, responsible for transporting and storing fuel. Tanks are available in various shapes, including oval, square, and round, and made of materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy.
3. Fuel Inlets and Outlets
Fuel inlets and outlets are located on the top and side of the tank, and valves control the flow of fuel.
4. Pump Unit
The pump unit is the pumping device of the tank truck, pumping fuel from the tank and transferring it to another container. Pump units are categorized by their operating principle as centrifugal pumps and gear pumps.
5. Flowmeter
A flowmeter is a metering device used to measure the flow rate and quality of oil products and report these results to a computer system.
6. Valve
Valves are primarily divided into manually operated and mechanically controlled types, and are used to control the direction and flow rate of oil.
7. Pipeline
Pipelines are the main components that connect various components. They are generally made of steel or stainless steel and are characterized by high strength and corrosion resistance.
